Christmas in the media has been edited 8 times in a row by you. Please first discuss the changes on Talk:Christmas in the media first. Thanks. --ĶĩřβȳŤįɱéØ 02:42, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since there seems to be some confusion about the copyright status of this article I've moved it into your user space here to save you retyping it, should the copyright issue be resolved. Please note that if content is blanked any editor can reinstate it (though if it was blanked for good reason reinstating it may be contentious and should be discussed on the article's talk page before doing so); even an article which is deleted (as distinct from blanked) may be reinstated by an admin if appropriate (generally after a deletion review). Content is rarely lost altogether! As to the copyright status of the article, this is the situation (please note that the text below is intended as a warning when apparently copyrighted text is first noticed so some of the wording is no longer appropriate in this case):

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Kent Tritle, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.westparish.org/music/organrecital.html. As a copyright violation, Kent Tritle appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Kent Tritle has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If the source is a credible one, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:Kent Tritle. If the article has already been deleted, but you have a proper release, you can reenter the content at Kent Tritle, after describing the release on the talk page. However, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia.

You say on the article's talk page that Mr Tritle himself gave you this information; this does not alter the fact that it is taken from the website at westparish.org What you need to do is make sure that westparish.org does not object to the text from their website being licensed under the GFDL and make a statement to this effect on the article's talkpage (now also in your userspace at User_talk:Belcantobach/Kent_Tritle). As I'm sure you understand, Wikipedia has to take great care in accepting copyrighted submissions, including text taken from websites, to avoid accusations of breach of copyright.

Let me know on my talkpage if you have any questions; I can move the article back into "mainspace" (where the encyclopædia articles live) when the issues of copyright are resolved. One last small point - please "sign" your entries on talk pages (though not on aticles) by adding ~~~~ at the end, which will add your username and the time/date. Regards, Tonywalton  | Talk 12:02, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am the editor of the West Parish music pages and so there never was a copyright issue. Also, the same information about Kent Tritle appeared on other websites which made this whole discussion a waste of time. I'm not doing anything further with this because I don't have time.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Belcantobach (talkcontribs)

The article is now back. see, that wasn't too painful, was it? Regards, Tonywalton  | Talk 09:05, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Miriam Hannecart-Jakes

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Miriam Hannecart-Jakes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
