Fandom Wikis

[edit]

Hey, just reverted your addition to Kilroy was here because sites with user-generated content such as Fandom wikis, aren't considered reliable sources. See WP:UPG. For pop culture items, generally a third-party review is what we are looking for as sources go... Skyerise (talk) 20:21, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm watching the episode and heard it. Where can I cite if a wiki isn't good? Bes1208 (talk) 20:23, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you can't cite the media directly either. Someone besides yourself has to have remarked on it. Generally reviews and interviews. Otherwise the mention isn't considered notable. Skyerise (talk) 20:31, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, see WP:IPC and WP:IPCEXAMPLES for discussion of the difference between a mere mention and an interesting pop culture item. Good references with background about why the reference was made, or what it was intended to mean, etc. are preferred. Skyerise (talk) 20:36, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
