Hello, let me just say sorry for being overzealous in stopping your edits to Jack P. Lewis. I should have communicated more overtly with you. That being said I hope you understand that failing to reply to my warnings on your talk page set off alarm bells. I did not assume good faith and I should have. Ways to improve Annie May Alston Lewis

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thanks for creating the article. A couple of things to watch out for:

Please do not directly link to external websites (eg Arkansas Library Association). If a site provides evidence for her role, the relevant page should instead be cited.
There's a lot of material for which there aren't inline references. Now while most of the references in the article are offline sources, inline refs provide some minor level of assurance that the article is reliable/verifiable.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Biographies of living (and recently deceased) people and citing sources

Hi, just a friendly reminder (since I see this has been brought up before), our Biographies of Living Persons policy, which includes the recently deceased, requires all contentious material including claims of death to be cited to a reliable source. Please do not re-add the date of death to the Jack P. Lewis article unless you also cite a reliable source with the information. stwalkerster (talk) 11:33, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
