Welcome!

Hello, Bjerke, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

WELL, actually, I have decided never ever to add anything to wikipedia on bands, etc.. But, when it comes to science, wikipedia is often brilliant, and amendmending the articles is not waste of time.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Speedy delete nomination[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Huldre (band), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Thanks for your message. I'm sorry you haven't had a good experience here, but this is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising platform. You could recreate, or ask for restoration in a sandbox for improvement, but it's fairly clear that you have decided it's my fault anyway. Reply[edit]

Hi again. It's easy for fans to write text that is not objective without intending to advertise the band. There was no suggestion that you were doing so deliberately to promote the group.

  • You need to provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Note that Youtube and other self-editable sources are not acceptable, and interviews with a band are rarely objective.
  • By the way, I suspect that you don't know what Wacken is— you are right, and your text gave no link to a Wikipedia article or explanation. You can't expect reviewers to do the research for you
  • You write "it's fairly clear that you have decided it's my fault anyway." It is not a DECISION on the part of mine— well, comments like I find this really ignorant and arrogant... Even if I spend 2 months on writing objective facts about Huldre, you could dismiss it as adverting in disguise isn't exactly assuming good faith ⋅
  • It's seen as promotion to give url links in the text, although one link to the band's site in an "External links" section is acceptable. Comments that appear to be personal opinion, such as music is peculiar due to the inspiration from Danish and Nordic folk music are also unencyclopaedic if lacking a third party source

It's entirely up to you, but I'm always prepared to restore deleted articles in a sandbox for improvement unless they are copyright violations or unfixably spammy, cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 08:04, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll restore to give you a chance to improve. I suggest that you do so quickly though. You may not have noticed that another editor actually nominated this for speedy deletion, and there is no guarantee that it won't be tagged again in its present form Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:29, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Huldre (band), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rock and Wacken. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
