License tagging for Image:Cart-ruts.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cart-ruts.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hello, Bluevopa, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  -- Mwanner | Talk 22:32, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tried sending the following response to your email, but it bounced:
Sure, go ahead, re-add it. Understand, though, someone else could revert it just as I did. I would suggest that you add it to just one article, then do some other work on wikipedia (some of the photos on your user page would be good in the articles). It is when we see editors adding several external links in a row that we start thinking "spam!".
By the way, you might want to try the Wikipedia way of communicating, which is to edit the Talk page of a user. If someone leaves you a message, as I did, you can answer it on your Talk page or on theirs. Add four tildes (Mwanner | Talk 23:00, 25 November 2006 (UTC)) at the end, which will cause your username and date to be appended to the message. I'll leave you the standard welcome message there-- it includes a lot of links to pages which should help you get started.[reply]
Good luck, and happy editing! Mwanner | Talk 23:00, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Johnmizzi.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please note that this image and all the other images on your user page have now been deleted as they were tagged as not having any copyright status for more than seven days. I have removed them from your user page. --TheParanoidOne 22:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
