Family Guy screenshots

Please do not just upload screenshots randomly for all episodes of Family Guy. In the past, many such images have been deleted (see, for instance, Wikipedia:Files_for_deletion/2013_June_26#File:Dog_Gone_-_Family_Guy_promo.png) for not meeting our policies on non-free content. Many of the images you've already uploaded are likely to be deleted as well, for the same reasons as those which came before yours. (ESkog)(Talk) 23:05, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

  • No worries; I didn't necessarily expect that you'd know about that. Just wanted to save you what looks like a fair bit of effort only to see it all get erased. (ESkog)(Talk) 23:22, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Your signature

You should probably change your signature, per WP:SIGAPP. White on white is not an accessible color combination. --Izno (talk) 01:03, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for alerting me about my signature. My username has been have a background, so I don't know if you're using an old browser or your using a different browser, other than Safari and Chrome. --Blurred Lines 16:27, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Before your radial background kicks in, try using a fallback, such as background-color: #42B4FF;. GSK 16:45, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Yea, thank you. I will try the code that you just told me.--Blurred Lines 16:49, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
You're using -webkit-radial-gradient, which has nothing to do with how new my browser is but with the fact that it's not a particularly standards-compliant piece of CSS. Vendors will do that to avoid pollution of standard CSS while they're working on an implementation, but you should probably still avoid using it. In fact, checking can I use indicates that Chrome supports the normal styling as well. I doubt you're using Safari... Your recent posts appear to be fine. -Izno (talk) 03:57, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

"The Simpsons Guy"

The title of the episode is in the Entertainment Weekly source, which I didn't even add, so I have no idea what you're on about. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 21:31, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Exactly, you were supposed to add a source, but you didn't. Also, telling me, "You have no idea what I'm on about.", will not solved anything, my friend. --Blurred Lines 21:45, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
The thing is is that the source was already in the article. You removed the title, despite the fact that there was a source. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 21:49, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Well, yes that source has been there. The last time I checked it, I didn't see the title on the source. I did not know that it has been updated since the last time I checked it. Since now I know that it's the official title, it stays. --Blurred Lines 22:06, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Too eager

Sir/Madam, you tagged the image File:Unicorn (ship).png as an orphan fifteen minutes after I had uploaded it. In fact, your action came to my attention while I was editing the article Unicorn (ship), the article where the uploaded image was intended, while I was inserting the image file that I had just uploaded. If you had waited literally fifteen more minutes your tagging would have been unnecessary. As you know, the file must exist before the article can reference it—all images are orphans their first few minutes of life while editors are inserting their recently uploaded images into their intended articles. Please give editors more than fifteen minutes to do this next time, i.e. 24 hours is more appropriate. I need to edit this image again but I will wait: Will you please revert your edit now and remove the tag you inserted? —Prhartcom (talk) 23:41, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for alerting me that the image is now in an article. I have removed the deletion and now you're good to go. --Blurred Lines 23:51, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Let me chime in here with File:Jon Bernad profile.jpg. You tagged this for lacking evidence of permission, but I couldn't find anything wrong with the attribution. Neither can I find any previous online publication of this image. So if you still think it should go, please nominate it at WP:PUF. De728631 (talk) 14:03, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
