re Request for Adminship

[edit]

Mate, with less than 20 edits, and under a week's editing, i'm afraid you don't stand a chance in being nominated for adminship, the current unofficial guideline is about 3000 edits and 6 months, although these vary from editor to editor. If i were you, i'd withdraw your request before it gets ugly. By the way, you did not correctly submit your request, i have done it for you, although i still recommend you withdraw--Jac16888 (talk) 19:10, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for adminship

[edit]
  • I've just closed your RfA early, as it didn't have any chance of passing sadly. I suggest that you take the advice of the opposers, and gain some more experience. Familiarize yourself with the policies and guidelines. Also, you have 25 edits at the moment according to the edit counter, and have only been on Wikipedia for a couple of weeks; most RfA nominees have a minimum of 2000 edits and three months of experience (though Jac16888 suggests 3000 edits and 6 months of experience, but again, it varies from editor to editor). Don't worry too much about not passing your RfA the first time; some of our best admins took RfA two or three (or more) times before they passed. Good luck. A tag has been placed on Squiggland, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Speedy deletion of Squiggland

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Squiggland, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Jameson L. Regarding request for administration

[edit]

Do you remember me? You helped me make a request for adminship before, could you help me again? Thanks,--Bobes66 (talk) 17:08, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mate, i don't want to make you feel bad, but i'd really recommend you don't do it. You've only made 10-20 more edits since your last request, you need way way more, and i'm talking thousands here, as well as experience with WP:CSD, WP:AFD, some vandalism reverting and countless other policies which you need to know if you're going to be an admin, and you haven't had time to learn them yet, i'm still learning now. On top of that you need a lot of experience with dispute resolution. I'm sorry, but if you renominate yourself now, its guaranteed to fail, and believe me, it won't be a nice experience for you. I'd recommend you try in about 6 months. Sorry--Jac16888 (talk) 17:24, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid your request for adminship has been deleted, due to it being incorrectly created, and not listed. If you wish to submit yourself again, follow the instructions here, Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/nominate. However, i strongly advise against it, no offence, but if you are unable to actually nominate yourself, you're not ready to be an administrator you might like to read this and [[Wikipedia:Administrators' reading list]|this]] of which i myself don't know all of, and you should also read Wikipedia:What adminship is not for why its not necessary to be an admin to be a respected member of the community. Remember, being an administrator is not a big deal, and it should not be your ultimate goal on wikipedia.--Jac16888 (talk) 23:10, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Mark Nichols (golf). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Carry on making the kind of edits you did here and not only will you never be an admin, you'll get blocked too--Jac16888 (talk) 13:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Phh:Watching pages, you will be blocked from editing. Jac16888 (talk) 01:36, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
