March 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NoahDavid771. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Noah!💬 15:08, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Alex Glasgow, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:41, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Alex Glasgow, you may be blocked from editing. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:50, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why your changes have been reverted[edit]

Hi Dan, I saw your message to Noah's Talk page. I've moved it to the bottom of the page there.

Whether you're a relative of Alex Glasgow's or not, content you add or modify needs to be verifiable. Quoting from WP:VERIFY: "All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable. All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material." The article is poorly sourced right now but that doesn't mean we can add more unsourced content.

Also, please have a look at WP:COI. It seems to apply to your editing of the Alex Glasgow article. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:58, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Boyonahill: Dan, there's nothing vindictive about my reverts. That baseless accusation is just one of multiple personal attacks ("pedant", "petty minded", …) in your edit summary. Personal attacks are not acceptable here; see WP:NPA.
Contrary to your assertion, I have been trying to be welcoming. I took the time to explain to you here why your changes were reverted, referring to Wikipedia policies. I made you aware of WP:COI which (unknowingly, I assume) you have been violating for quite a while – User:GlasgowDan is also an account of yours, I reckon.
I've now tried to clean up the article a little according to reliable sources, some of which were already in the article and some I found.
Going forward, if you want changes made, you should follow WP:COI and "propose changes on article talk pages", preferably with reliable sources that back up the content. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 11:42, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
