The article Irvin Rock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet academic notability requirements

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have added a bit of content that I hope addresses your concerns. Rock was profiled in a comprehensive overview of psychology (the work which was cited by Morton Hunt) for his significant contribution to the field with regard to the understanding of perception. The cited reference necessarily had to limit its content to only the most important topics in psychology (even so, it is still a 776 page work), which I think is pretty good evidence that Rock was notable for his contribution to an area of psychology.
