Joel Kindergarten

Thank you for your message about the link in Kindergarten. Please can you explain why the link contravened Wikipedia policy so I can ensure that I do not make the same error again? Thank you.

Osek

It's customary to have a chat about something rather than just blanking the page Brianga. I'm sure you're doing good work, I'm just saying give someone more than two minutes to write an article. Nick mallory 06:40, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Chasers dvd.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Chasers dvd.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:50, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of East Kyo

Hi. You tagged the article East Kyo for speedy deletion per CSD A1 (no/insufficient context). I feel that the article provides sufficient context to identify its subject and have therefore removed the speedy deletion tag. "Limited content is not in itself a reason to delete if there is enough context for the article to qualify as a valid stub." (quoted from WP:CSD#A1) If you think the article ought to be deleted, please follow another deletion process. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 02:16, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Shark attack

About your attempt to semi-protect Shark attack here, that isn't quite how it works. Adding the template doesn't semi-protect the article. Only administrators can protect articles. If you want to request that an article be protected, you need to file a request at WP:RFPP. At this time, I don't think that semi-protection is necessary. The vandalism doesn't seem particularly out of hand at the moment, though if it continues, it might warrant protection. -- Gogo Dodo 05:50, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Wow

You're quick at vandal reverts. -JE 03:48, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I did NOT add new information to the article, I was merely correcting the tone - claiming Gould never shook hands is just rubbish, and I changed it to suggest that it is claimed he didn't shake hands. I'm GOING to provide a source (as I mentioned in the edit note) as soon as I have a few seconds of free time from work to find the bit from the book I have right here next to me. Strange that new, insignificant edits are targeted this way as the whole freaking article lacks sources.--Wormsie 10:23, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Inconsistent deletions?

I agree with your removal of redlink names in the 'Deaths in June 2007' but don't understand why you deleted selectively. There are plenty of other redlink names in June.. and earlier months. Please explain. Tom M. 11:37, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

  • OK, great. I just wondered if there was a reason (other than time constraints) why you only deleted a few. Now I know. (and I DO understand time constraints LOL) Thanks.Tom M. 11:54, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Does it feel like it's blowing up in here tonight? I haven't seen a night I've been kept this busy with the vandals. Trusilver 06:16, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

"Vandalism"

Take a look at the edits I'm making - I'm clearing out old "unreferenced" tags by removing the unsupported claims from the articles, adding references, finding citations and/or removing the tags. They are NOT cases of vandalism and should not be reverted without a good reason. 24.4.253.249 07:04, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me. But vandalism as defined by [this page] is "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism. Apparent bad-faith edits that do not make their bad-faith nature inarguably explicit are not considered vandalism at Wikipedia. For example, adding a personal opinion once is not vandalism—it's just not helpful, and should be removed or restated." How, by any stretch of the imagination, is adding links to helpful interviews "vandalism?" This is not compromising the integrity, but improving the cultural resources that are available. 26 July 2007

Thanks!

Appreciate you renaming the DP in NS article; I was busily trying to look up how to do that, then realized you had solved the problem. Don't know how I got the quote marks around the first title, but thanks a bunch, pal!  :-) --Textorus 05:55, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

in response to your comment about the sandy smith article

i was attempting to edit it and i accidentally blanked it out when i hit ctrl-a. i realized my mistake and immediately restored the page. (i dont knwo if this is the right place to put this comment but feel free to delete it after you read it. it was only blanked for a matter of seconds and was clearly a simple keyboard error. thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.55.20.70 (talk)

Notability of Tom Chase

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Tom Chase, by 72.76.103.97 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Tom Chase seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Tom Chase, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:35, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
