Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Briannaerika, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Orphaned non-free image File:Eva Adams headshot.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Eva Adams headshot.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:31, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Hey
[edit]I noticed that you edited the article on Eva Adams. Unfortunately, you did it wrong. The opening of a Wikipedia biography should never be a lengthy quote from the person; it should be a brief sentence explaining who the person is. Imagine that you have pulled out your smartphone with a terrible data plan, and opened a Wikipedia app to see who "Eva Adams" was. The app shows you the first sentence. You don't want "Who was Eva Adams?" to be answered by "<lengthy quote about how women have to work harder than men to be seen as equal>". You want it to be answered by "was the director of the US Mint".
Thanks for trying; if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. DS (talk) 13:59, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Nomination of Ione Taylor for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ione Taylor is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ione Taylor until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 15:09, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
[edit]hi Briannaerika, i see that the article you created, Ione Taylor, has been nominated for deletion, you might like to have a look at WP:AFD which explains what is going on, a couple of things: you can still edit the article while the afd is going on, and you (as any editor can) can also contribute to the afd and explain why Taylor is notable based on wikipedia policies and guidelines. Anyway, i hope this doesn't put you off continuing to contribute.
