Douglas Youvan

Hi, Bridgettttttte. Stone spoke with me about my reversion of your edit to the Douglas Youvan article and it appears that my reversion of your edits was not the best way to deal with the deletion of all of the content from the page. For that, I apologize.
While I don't think it's a good idea for me to revert it back to a blank page (since people who come looking for the article would be discouraged by seeing a blank page), I have deleted my earlier warning to you and replaced it with one of our welcome messages, which may be useful to you here...I have to admit that I chose this particular welcome template because I've always liked that bouncing Wiki globe! ;)

Pretty Signature

How do I make my signature a different color with "talk" as a subscript (e.g., babble) and "contributions" as a sub-sub-script or a superscript (e.g., poop). Please do it for me if u r good at it. I don't like to be red. Purple name, green babble, and brown poop would be nice. Thank you. I hope u enjoy this help me task. Hi there, it won't work on Simple English Wikipedia, as it is a different language edition. For example, it won't work at French Wikipedia until you set it up in your preferences there as well. Regards, — μ 21:07, June 13 2010 (UTC)

I think the probability of that gender composition of the board might be calculated as 2/14 or less with a mean of 7/14. Maybe not, because you can't have (1/2)/14, i.e., a fractional person. Anyone want to do that or does that fall under NOR? Bridgetttttttebabblepoop 18:06, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Funny you should pose this mathematical conundrum, because I have been working on precisely the same logic problem since April 22... Here is my conclusion thus far: To show evidence of my proof, I quote CEO Tony Hayward, executive member of the BP board of directors: 1. "I think the environmental impact of this disaster is likely to have been very, very modest." 2. "We're sorry for the massive disruption it's caused to their lives," Hayward said. "There's no one who wants this thing over more than I do, I'd like my life back." 3. (regarding 7 oil spill clean up workers who were hospitalized after reporting dizziness, headaches and nausea.) "I am sure they were genuinely ill, but whether it was anything to do with dispersants and oil, whether it was food poisoning or some other reason for them being ill, you know, there's a—food poisoning is surely a big issue when you've got a concentration of this number of people in temporary camps, temporary accommodations." 4. "The oil is on the surface," Hayward said. "There aren't any plumes."

Troubles with infobox model

Hi, I saw your q at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (infoboxes). That page isn't really for discussing technical issues with specific infoboxes; a better place might have been at Template talk:infobox model - or you could have asked on this page, preceded by a {{helpme}} to gain the attention of a helpdesk volunteer.

I take it that the problem is with the infobox on your user page. I see one problem straight away, it's in the line 

| birthdate = 1985|01|01

The pipe characters "|" separate parameters. Thus, this line is being taken as three parameters for {{infobox model}}; the first is "birthdate = 1985", whereas the "01" and "01" are being treated as parameters entirely separate from that; but are unnamed, and {{infobox model}} doesn't recognise unnamed parameters. (Bit technical I know; there's a whole bunch of help for template usage at Help:Template.)

I rather suspect that you should be using this: 

| birthdate = {{birth date and age|1985|01|01}}

that is, the three figures 1985, 01, 01 are used as parameters into the {{birth date and age}} template, which then mashes them about to produce:

(1985-01-01) January 1, 1985 (age 39)

which is then used as a single value passed through the |birthdate= parameter of {{infobox model}}. Hope this helps. If you have more problems, ask here: I'll keep this page on my watchlist for a few days. --Redrose64 (talk) 15:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
