forgery not a crime in Scotland?

[edit]

I notice on your 11 June 2013 edits on Scotland, you state that forgery is not recognized as a crime in Scotland.

Can you elaborate on this? I've seen other pages suggesting that forgery is a crime, e.g. Uttering states that "[in] Scotland Uttering forged writings is a crime ...". Fabrickator (talk) 04:01, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm new but as stated Forgery is not a crime such as in the United States unless the document is used to influence someone as to be genuine for ones benefit or gain such as evidence in a litigation or Will etc. By looking up the laws of any of the states or countries under Forgery the results are similar such as California Forgery Laws Penal Code § 470 PC. 68.118.45.236 (talk) 04:38, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
