A tag has been placed on User:CERREWiki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap sh*t room 10:30, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 11:14, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Dear Administrator,This page has been created in order to inform about the existence of the think tank Centre on Regulation in Europe. This is a non for profit think tank which publishes scientific content and research by making it available to all. The text of the page is purely factual and neutral and is not for advertising, advocating nor promotion purposes. To make sure it is within the Wikipedia standards, I have used as models the Wikipedia pages of two other relatively similar think tanks: Ceps and Bruegel. Best, Laura RegulationTT 14:57, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Yeah, no. We are an encyclopedia, not a soapbox for you to " inform about the existence of the think tank". I don't se that we can unblock you if that's your only reason for being here. Also, you have not chosen an acceptable username-- Dlohcierekim (talk)
  • You created the page on your user page, which is not article space, but a place for you to introduce yourself to the Wikipedia community. Wikipedia is not social media to merely tell about an organization. Creating an article "in order to inform about the existence of the think tank" is considered promotional on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about an organization. Non-profits are not treated any differently than for-profits. If all you are here to do is tell the world about your organization, you will not be unblocked. If you are interested in being a general Wikipedia contributor, you will need to review the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy, and then tell us what it is you want to edit about other than your organization. 331dot (talk) 15:58, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
