Changing the purpose of categories[edit]

Please seek consensus on a relevant Wikiproject talk page before changing or restricting the scope of categories as you did at Category:Chinese-language songs, Category:Mandarin-language songs and Category:C-pop songs. Those changes were not natural explanations based on the name of each category, so I reverted them. – Fayenatic London 15:24, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fayenatic london: Hello... sorry... it's not like that? Could you explain then or add a description to not confuse these categories. Songs in Chinese language are not in standard Chinese? and Songs in Mandarin language are not in all its non-standard varieties like dialects? I thought it was so, sorry again... CMQW (talk) 00:19, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The categories called "Chinese-language" cover all Varieties of Chinese, e.g. Cantonese. As for C-pop, this includes other countries such as Singapore, not just China.– Fayenatic London 22:29, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fayenatic london: Oh I see... do this mean that "Mandarin-language songs" is only used for the songs in Pǔtōnghuà? CMQW (talk) 08:22, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
