Hi,
This is a significant Welsh writer that has created an extensive body of work both in English and Welsh language in the UK. There are 42 cited references in support of the submission and as such I don't believe that your refusal that Daf James isn't a notable person. The BBC has this week reference him as a ground breaking writer whose show Lost Boys and Fairies is filming at this time. As such, I believe that you are mistaken in your reasons for declining. How do I appeal your decision, as I believe that you're wrong. Caerdyddcymru (talk) 20:34, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have submitted a formal arbitration against this decision. The reason you have given for declining is "they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject". However, on the basis that this is incorrect given both the volume of independent references and also the significant notoriety of the writer within Wales and particular the Welsh language over the year and in the last year throughout the UK given their recent UK series Lost Boys and Fairies, which has been covered both in the UK and Ireland for his ground breaking work. If there were reasons beyond this then I'm happy to work with you on those, otherwise we'll await the decision of the arbitration. Many thanks. Caerdyddcymru (talk) 20:54, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - Hope that my message finds you well. I've posted a query both to Help Desk and Teahouse so it would be good to understand more as to why you rejected the content, and what you feel is needed in order to get it published. I think you were very quick to request deletion of your declined draft, this would only have required a VERY small amount of work to have made it acceptable. Theroadislong (talk) 10:30, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
