I was just standing up to a racist administrator. If this continues, I might as well just leave the platform for him and his white folks. Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 22:45, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Samson Arega Bekele, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. They can delete the page. I will be fine. I am tired already. Maybe I should take a break from Wikipedia too. Thank you for your time. Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 06:06, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alkasum Abba moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Alkasum Abba. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jamiebuba (talk) 13:27, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contribution. I will need clarifications please. When you talk about more sources, do you mean a CNN or any western media coverage because the article is for a personality well covered by sources including national dailies and publications from institutions within the region of influence where he is domiciled. There are very notable people in far away Eastern Europe that are not known in West Africa, notable people in Asia that are not known in Central America. For instance, Taylor Swift with all her popularity is largely unknown in some eastern parts of Africa that I have travelled to. I think Wikipedia is a global encyclopedia and is not restricted to validation from any part of the world. Your suggestions and contributions are welcomed. Thank You. Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 14:59, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For instance, you wrote about "Josefa González Blanco Ortiz Mena" on Wikipedia here. I have never heard of that name and I pretty sure 9 out of 10 persons I know might not also have heard about the name but that does not mean that the subject is not notable. The said subject might be notable in her area of influence and knowing that the world is big enough, rather than cancel it entirely, I use the opportunity to learn about the personality that I have never heard before. Isn't that one of the goals of Wikipedia ? Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 15:05, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also took a look at the sources provided for this profile you worked on at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josefa_Gonz%C3%A1lez_Blanco_Ortiz_Mena to see if I can get a clue but none of the sources provided there are known here in Africa. They even used a social media source which is not always accepted here on Wikipedia. But the fact that I am not aware of the said subject and the sources does not mean that the subject you wrote about isn't notable. For Alkasum Abba, I provided about 20 sources that are very popular in this region just like the 7 sources you provided for Josefa Gonz are popular in Mexico and her area of influence. I hope this helps. Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 15:19, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 20:44, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is not fair. This is not a fair trial. And I did not make any disruptive edits. I only expressed myself in the discussion forum. Where is the disruptive edit accusations coming from ? Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 20:49, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

the block is no longer necessary because I now understand what I am being blocked for, I will not do it again, and I will make productive contributions instead Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 21:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The expectation is that you provide an appeal that demonstrates that you understand why you were blocked and explains how you will modify your editing to meet Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. All you have provided is a parroting of the expectations with no substance. Ponyobons mots 21:05, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I understand that I am being blocked for making disruptive edits especially personal attacks. I am deeply sorry. My emotions got the better of me. I promise to be of conduct. To accept all views, to improve my language and ensure that I am very professional according to all Wikipedia's guidelines and ethics. Thank you Caleb Onyeabor (talk) 21:11, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You’re using quite a few accounts. Appeal declined. Talk page privileges revoked. Courcelles (talk) 22:02, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. Please reconsider my appeal. Thank you very much in anticipations.

Hello, Caleb Onyeabor,
Once you start socking with other accounts while you are blocked, all bets are off. You'll need to wait six months, with no socking, and try to take the standard offer. Even with a well-written and sincere block appeal in six months, I'm not sure you'll be unblocked after calling other editors racist when you don't get your way. On Wikipedia, edits last forever and so personal insults can all be found in your Contribution history. Liz Read! Talk! 04:36, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
