Hey CanCanDuo, thank you for leaving the message on my page. Actually, I removed the information and then left a comment on your discussion page yesterday - but had removed it after fearing that you'd probably never see it and it was pointless lol.

Actually my reasoning was that I have read historical sources on the Vietnamese variation of the Ao Ba Ba and it doesn't coincide with the "Ao Vang", and since many countries have a variation of a pajamas costume (particularly in Asia)I thought it would be moreso fitting that Ao Vang and Cambodian costumes in general had their own article. I don't know if such an article exists or if there's even an all encompassing term which is used for the main categories of Cambodian traditional clothes.

By the way, actually from what I've read I thought the Cambodian version was a shirt worn over a skirt and a scarf. The Vietnamese Ao Ba Ba (also known as Ao Canh) is distinguished by the slits on either side, is this present in the cambodian version by any chance?

In response to your latest comment left on my page - in that case I now fully support re-adding the information about the Ao Vang on the Ao Ba Ba page - at least until either of us (or a third party) can find a good online source for the Ao Vang that would warrant its own page I suppose. It's interesting that you make the reference about the Ao Vang being almost like a collarless Ao Dai. I believe some Vietnamese people say that the Ao Ba Ba is supposed to be a casual peasant cousin of the Ao Dai. I believe some of the Vietnamese theories on its origins are: 1. It came about in the late 18th century in Southern Vietnam (this might explain about the Ao Vang) 2. It came about in the early 19th century - having been modelled after clothing that the ethnic Chinese in Malaysia wore. I'm still confused though how the two might or might not be related, even Vietnamese sources have never been very clear on its origins. Chenlomo

Tail[edit]

You added this, Unlike Thai dance costumes, Khmer dancers wear a tail around their waist to potray certain characters. That is incorrect. Thai costumes do use tails to portray Hanuman just as Cambodian costumes do. Go ahead and Google a picture of a Thai Hanuman to see. A Cambodian Theatre series box?[edit]

What do you say? You know how some topics, such as Cuisine, has a series box. Would you think a series box for Cambodia theatre and other performing arts be appropriate? There is like a dozen or so different types of lakhaons; yike, lakhaon bassac, lakhaon robam kbach boran khmer, lakhaon niyeay, lakhaon aphei, etc. So a series box would help connect them all. --Dara 18:26, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indianized kingdom[edit]

I see you have a history of working on the article Indianized kingdom. I am looking at it from the project Wikipedia:Unreferenced articles where it is one of the longest {{unreferenced}} tagged articles that does not meet at least the barest minimum of verifiability. It has been tagged and completely without references since June 2006. It would be extremely helpful if you had some references you could add to the article to help support its verifiability and notability. Thanks for any help you can give.
