Hello Captain Galanoth, and welcome to Wikipedia!

There are various guidelines to help newcomers understand how Wikipedia works and how to edit it. The Wikipedia:Introduction to Wikipedia might be a good starting point, and some more are mentioned below. Frequently newcomers do not at first grasp how Wikipedia works, and so they find that many of their edits are immediately undone, and this can be offputting. However, it is just amatter of putting in a little time, and learning as you do so. Some particularly important points sometimes not grasped by newcomers are explained in the policy on What Wikipedia is not.

One thing which is important to realise is that everything you post on Wikipedia is part of the Wikipedia project, and everything which you write on Wikipedia should be designed to further the aim of developing the encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a webhost, and you should not put anything into Wikipedia for your own purposes, such as for your own amusement, if it does not contribute to the encyclopedia. This includes edit summaries, which are intended to help other editors see easily what edits are being made, not to give an editor an opportunity to play. Your edit summary for [edit] was not appropriate. Perhaps, as a newcomer, you did not realise this, but I hope you will make more helpful edit summaries in the future.
