Serban Ghenea
To the editors who keep reverting my edits - please familiarise yourself with wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest, single purpose accounts and editing your own article. Remember that this is not a repository for every bit of information on a person, especially not every individual track a person has mixed. The list is of poor quality, isn't well referenced and is not well formatted, therefore it has been removed. Do not keep adding it back without justification - i.e. post valid reasons in here or seek clarification from the community of established editors.Rayman60 (talk) 00:27, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rayman,

This is not a complete list of Serban Ghenea's work, only some of the most successful. A more complete list of over 700 albums can be found at allmusic.com, which is listed in the external links section. Please explain what is wrong with the formatting and references. All claims of chart positions are backed by citations with links to appropriate websites which support the claims. Please do not just delete work on a page, that has been successfully maintained and contributed to for over 5 years, without offering constructive information or examples in order to improve and correct what you claim is a problem.Cavalino06 (talk) 03:03, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Cavalino06. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 17:57, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

More

[edit]

It's been several days since Rayman started a discussion about whether you have a conflict of interest with regards to Serban Ghenea and you have not responded. As explained above, if you work for his management agency you must disclose that this is the case. Thanks SmartSE (talk) 17:59, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please unblock this account. There is no sock-puppetry going on here. I am not the subject, Serban Ghenea, and have not edited anything but 2 small edits per discussion on AfD page since the discussion started. Johnhanes is an associate that is not experienced in WP policy and let his frustration with the discussion go to far. We do, however work in the same building and do know the subject. I took on the task of maintaining the Serban Ghenea article about a year ago because there was a lot of misinformation being presented along with a lack of references. I am also not experienced, and didn't quite understand what constitutes COI, however have learned a lot in the past few days. I have asked Rayman60 for help in clarifying his objections for the past year to no avail. I feel like we were starting to get somewhere with the help of posts from SmartSE and Richard3120 but now, I can not even continue the discussion. I have also spoken to johnhanes and explained that his edit outbursts were not acceptable and have not helped the cause. Actually made the situation look even worse. That will not happen again. Cavalino06 (talk) 20:51, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I rather don't think your own outbursts are any more helpful than Johnhanes'. With edits such as this one this seems to be undisclosed paid editing in violation of the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. Huon (talk) 23:48, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
