Welcome!

Hello, Charismatic11, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as China's Chicago, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! BurtAlert (talk) 03:56, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on China's Chicago requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Template:Largest cities of the People's Republic of China

[edit]

Please, if you want to change the Template:Largest cities of the People's Republic of China page like that, find and and cite a reliable new source for it (e.g. China census articles, UN population data). The current figures in the template are based on the 2010 Chinese census, which is considered (broadly) a reliable source. - Michaelmas1957 (talk) 22:52, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

introduction of Wuhan

[edit]

请不要用一个翻译质量不佳并且没有合适引用的版本取代现在的版本,谢谢。原来那个版本比现在这个流畅和自然一些。另外有些东西比如numerous green hills and a sea of fragrant flowers all year round属于空泛的内容,不适合放在百科条目里面,也会降低武汉这个条目的整体水平。

Please do not use a poorly translated introduction paragraph. Meanwhile, there are no reliable source showing that Wuhan is the largest city in China, (can't find that issue of National Geography to prove this). This serves as a friendly reminder. I will leave you some time to fix all the missing inner links and remove all inappropriate content and assertions without proper citation. Otherwise, I will revert this article back to its old form.Howchou (talk) 22:14, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
