Redirect of Madden 2010[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Madden 2010, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Madden 2010 is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Madden 2010, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Notability of Stephane Ngoumou[edit]

A tag has been placed on Stephane Ngoumou requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eeekster (talk) 03:14, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've noted the "hangon" tag you've placed on the above-captioned article. You may wish to familiarize yourself with the article at WP:ATHLETE, which outlines the criteria against which articles about athletes are measured. Since the individual in question is neither a professional nor an Olympian, I'm going to agree with the editor who tagged the article for speedy deletion. If you have any questions not covered by WP:Why was my article deleted?, feel free to leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 04:50, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Stephane Ngoumou[edit]

I have nominated Stephane Ngoumou, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stephane Ngoumou. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Stephane Ngoumou[edit]

K. Moreno meets wp:bio because he's received a ton of coverage from wp:reliable sources. Ngoumou has not. Generally, players who have yet to play a down of college football and are not the highest caliber recruits do not meet wp:bio. wp:athlete is additional criteria that can be used, but in this case the subject meets neither. I suggest reading those links and also about wp:afd, since that's where the article is now. Thank You --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 01:21, 12 February 2009 (UTC) OMARCHEESEBORO IS A FAG![reply]

First, I'd strongly recommend reading this, or you'll likely find yourself on a forced vacation.

Now to the point. My edits in no way indicate that he was on the roster for the whole 04 season - the point is that it's silly to have two consecutive entries for the same team in an infobox. Note the asterisk is for "... practice squad member only" - he doesn't fit. Berlin Thunder: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]. That enough sources?

Oh yeah... the "false info" bit was in reference to "Idonije has played on two NFL teams and one CFL team" - nothing I've seen indicates he was ever in the CFL.

Majorclanger (talk) 04:58, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The third one is written by him. And I quote: "I ended up with Chicago on the practice squad in November and sent to NFL Europe in February 2004. I played for the Berlin Thunder, which is the team that won this year’s World Bowl." Pretty conclusive, I'd say. Majorclanger (talk) 02:24, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's funny. There is no practice squad in the off-season... when the NFL Europe season took place. By definition, the PS contracts expire at the end of the season. And I've probably forgotten more about football than you know right now. Majorclanger (talk) 02:31, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You couldn't possibly be more wrong. This [8] will show that you're clueless regarding the practice squad. Majorclanger (talk) 02:34, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page User talk:Majorclanger has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to Israel Idonije, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Matt (talk) 02:44, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Defensive End / Defensive Tackle[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Defensive End / Defensive Tackle, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

A list that lists 4 people. Not even an official term. Fails WP:LIST.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. flaminglawyer 02:53, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And for the record, the practice squad does not exist in the offseason; all practice squad contracts expire as of the team's final game, be it regular season or playoffs. Pats1 T/C 11:57, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of W.E.B[edit]

A tag has been placed on W.E.B requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Mikehawk10 (talk) 01:24, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"W.E.B" listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect W.E.B. The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2021 October 7#W.E.B until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. — Mikehawk10 (talk) 05:13, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
