Dr. William Deon James (1989-present)

Dr. William Deon James aka Dr. William Deon James McKithen, is a published author of the book "The Individual:Think First". The book focuses on the philosophical perspectives of human individuality, diversity, and socialization processes. James evaluates human differences and perceptions pertaining to a variety of subjects such as: education, religion, sex, science, history, culture, suicide, parenting, friendships, relationships, marriage, morality, and more. William is also a comedian, professional researcher, an educator, a mixed martial artist, and gifted spoken word performer/rap artist.

William has a martial arts background that includes boxing, BJJ, Japanese Jujitsu, and Judo. William started martial arts at the age of 17 and he has a black belt in Judo.

To add to his extensive martial arts background, he also has an extensive education background consisting of 4 college degrees; including a doctorate in education administration. William earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Nassau Community College, a degree in Political Science from York College, a degree in Secondary Education/History from Queens College, and a Doctorate in Education Administration from Saint John's University.
William was born on September 3, 1989, in Queens, NY, alongside his identical twin brother. William was the youngest of ten children, the son of Jwanda James and James McKithen. William had a typical childhood that started from humble beginnings. At a young age, his family left Hollis to live in Nassau County, Long Island. William was introduced to football, baseball, and track and field as early as age six. Throughout his life, he would continue to play sports, focusing on football. William dreamed of being a professional football player.

William attended Howard T. Herber Middle School in Malverne, NY. In middle school, he continued to play football, basketball, baseball, and run track, but he only did enough to get by academically. William fought a lot, both in school and out of school. William's mother was always on top of him and his brother when it came to school, and his mother was a firm believer in corporal punishment. Bad behavior and slacking off in school was not allowed.

In 2003, he graduated junior high school and began at Malverne Senior High School. In high school, he prepared to attend college while playing football, running track, and lifting weights. William achieved academic and athletic honors, making the honor roll while performing well in football and track and field. William never experimented with drugs or alcohol or joined a gang. Ever since a young kid, William enjoyed listening to music and he started making rap music with his brother during their leisurely time. In 2007, he graduated Malverne Senior High School with a regent’s diploma. After William was not recruited by any big schools and football plans fell through, he decided to attend the local community college. When he enrolled at Nassau Community College, it did not take long to pick a major. He'd grew up around criminals, so criminal justice naturally caught his attention. While getting my associate’s degree, he worked thirty hours a week as a cashier. After two years of hard work and dedication, he graduated in 2009 with my associate’s degree in criminal justice. Then, he applied to York College and was accepted. He wanted to continue to major in criminal justice, but the college didn’t offer it, so he chose political science. After a year off work to focus on school, he got a new job at Home Depot and worked throughout his last year of undergraduate studies while running track. William did his first comedy show at York College while participating in a college competition. William had always been told he was funny, so he put together a comedy routine and gave it a shot. William performed in front of a crowd of 500 people and it was a success. William went on to graduate York College in 2011 with a bachelor of arts in political science. He applied to the master’s program at Queens College in the History/Secondary Education department and enrolled in Spring, 2012 classes.
While receiving his masters degree, William was awarded the Rachel T. Weddington Award for his excellent academic achievements and his work with the diverse community and tremendous work edifying students in the community. William began writing his first book while pursuing his Masters degree. William's book was titled "The Individual:Think First" and he published it in December of 2016 while he was pursuing his doctorate degree. William completed his Masters Degree in Secondary Education in May of 2014. Furthermore, William continued his academic career where he earned a Doctoral Degree in Education Administration from Saint John's University in 2018.

William is currently an educator, working on a number of other books and entrepreneurial ventures. He is still an active martial arts practitioner and he is pursuing a career in comedy.§§§§Chiefwill33 (talk) 22:06, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
