Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Cincygal, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Kurt James, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Kurt James

[edit]

The main problem with what you are trying to do to the Kurt James article is not the content that's there. it's the content it lacks. For a person to have a biography on Wikipedia, it needs to show that the person is notable. That means including sources about him. All you have on the article is a single cite (that incidentally doesn't point to the right webpage) that is about a band he was in. It mentions him, but is not about him. You really need to show sources about him.

Biographies are also held to a high standard about citing information, to ensure it is accurate. The one cite you provide doesn't cover 90% of what is in the article. Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:11, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
