July 2018[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Citysuper, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 09:03, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jim1138: Hi, I am an administrator of City Super Group. We need to update our wiki content urgently as some of the content is incorrect. Please let me know how to fix. Thanks.
@Jim1138: Also could we show any evidence that prove our identity so that we could update under our company? thanks.
Evidence of identity is unnecessary: wp:Wikipedia is anonymous. You can edit under an wp:account or logged out as above. Please remember, this is on Wikipedia's and one needs to edit per Wikipedia wp:policy. All content must be wp:verifiable. Removal of content because you "don't like it" is not acceptable - especially if you have a wp:COI. See the wp:Help and wp:Welcome pages. Sign your talk (on talk pages) with four tildes "~~~~". To use {{ping}}, the ping, content, and tildes must be published ("Publish changes") simultaneously or I will not get notified. See below as well. Jim1138 (talk) 19:59, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jim1138:Thanks Jim1138.Could we firstly update our company website with the content that we are going to post on wiki, then add a link to refer to our website in wiki? As those information came from our marketing of our company which is a verified information. City Super Group (talk) 02:45, 5 July 2018 (UTC) Citysuper[reply]

Got your ping. Sources should be added with your content. It is likely that someone else would see and revert your additions. wp:Secondary and tertiary sources are preferred over primary (i.e. your marketing group) as primary sources are often self-serving. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 03:22, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jim1138: Thanks Jim1138. I have one more question, could we use the user name like "Marketing at Citysuper Group" to edit the page? As the one who is responsible to update the content may need to change. We do not want to limit to a specific person name. City Super Group (talk) 03:42, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

One person per user name. Please see WP:ISU "Bob in Marketing at Citysuper Group" would be OK as it implies a single person. The account(s) should not be transferred. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:20, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest notice[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Citysuper, and I noticed that your username, "City Super Group", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 09:05, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Citysuper. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 09:42, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you.
