Welcome again + suggestion

[edit]

Hello, Clara.zz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help. Need some ideas about what kind of things need doing? Try the Task Center.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! Since you seem to be particularly interested in film and tv-related topics and people, may I suggest you take a closer look at WP:BLP, WP:MOSTV and WP:MOSFILM (in addition to the three principal core content policies: neutral point of view, verifiability, and no original research) before you make further changes. Don't be discouraged by reverts (and subsequent warnings) and happy further editing! Felida97 (talk) 12:59, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that IMDb is generally not considered a reliable source because its content is largely user-generated (see WP:IMDB, WP:CITEIMDB, WP:UGC, and WP:RS/IMDB). Felida97 (talk) 16:55, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Editing

[edit]

Hi, please have a look at WP:TPO and WP:INTERPOLATE. I, for one, do not appreciate how you edited my messages/comments together and it's generally best to not edit other editor's comments on your talk page (removing whole sections is fine/more acceptable, people can access them through your talk page history anyway). Thank you! Felida97 (talk) 18:10, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Lightoil (talk) 03:41, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Clara.zz! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Request reason:

I may have done certain mistakes which was not on purpose, I have also been noted about it through this page and I have corrected them as well or tried correcting them. I will not commit anymore mistake and will continue to abide the rules and principles of Wikipedia. Thank you Clara.zz (talk) 07:53, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

WP:BROTHER should make some interesting reading. Now directly blocked. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 13:54, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't see a block on this account. What is the message that you get when you attempt to edit? I see that you successfully edited yesterday. 331dot (talk) 09:23, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It says that I have been blocked because of "Disruptive editing, including persistent addition of unsourced content after multiple warnings and copyright violations" and this is by Bbb23. I have no idea as to how to solve it as it has been just a month since I joined. Thank you Clara.zz (talk)

There is also another problem there was a previous account handled by my sister named OK.ANNIE. She caused certain problems in wikipedia so it was good that she was blocked, but seeing her editing made me interested in it so I thought of trying it by using another account but I had no idea that her being blocked would also affect this account as well. Thank you Clara.zz (talk

WP:BROTHER That's interesting, I didn't know wikipedia had it. I may be wrong for speaking behind my sister's back but the fact is that it is true and we are connected genetically...biologically so, she has committed a mistake and I am partly suffering from it and it is something siblings do suffer in reality as well, one made the mistake and the other may suffer it even if he or she has to or not. Clara.zz (talk)

  • I would suggest that you tell your sister that her actions have ruined your ability to edit Wikipedia, and that actions have consequences, and not just for her. She may request unblock on her account. 331dot (talk) 15:50, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for everyone's support in trying to help me get unblocked. I don't think I will be participating any longer. I did enjoy editing for a month or less than that. I would like to disable this account. Sorry, if I have caused any mistakes while editing. I truly enjoyed my experience. Thank you. Clara.zz (talk)

There is no way to "disable" an account- simply stop using it. If you change your mind later, you will need to request unblock under this account. 331dot (talk) 09:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of films based on video games into List of animes based on manhwa. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 16:35, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
