Speedy deletion nomination of Gutted (band)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gutted (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SFK2 (talk) 08:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm PhilKnight. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Master of Reality, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. PhilKnight (talk) 17:35, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Metallica. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. PhilKnight (talk) 17:44, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Toxic Holocaust. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. PhilKnight (talk) 18:01, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
This is the final warning that you will receive regarding continued genre changing without discussion or sources. If you choose to continue, as you did at Flotsam and Jetsam (band), you may be blocked from editing without further notice.--Retrohead (talk) 10:52, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Unsourced genre additions and "typos"
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to We Came for the Dead!!!, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Additionally, please do not claim the omission of genres to be a "typo". A typo would be something like "death meatl", and correcting it to "death metal". Instead, just say exactly what you are doing in your edit summary ("adding genres" or something like that). Thank you. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 18:40, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- Just letting you know that I undid your addition of a genre, claiming Encyclopedia Metallum as a source. It's not considered to be a reliable source on Wikipedia as it is user-edited and doesn't show signs of editorial oversight. For a starting list of what is considered reliable on Wikipedia, check out WP:ALBUM/SOURCES. Your best bet is to find some reviews or news articles about the album from those sources, and get some genres from there. When you do, include a link to the source next to the information you add, by putting <ref>http://www.theurlofthesource.com/</ref> next to it. Thank you.
