Please don't remove AfD notices from articles. The notice is needed to direct people to the ongoing discussion. Removing the notice doesn't stop the deletion, it just means that people won't know the article is being discussed for deletion. You are more than welcome to bring your opinions about the article to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stevie Wilson. You'll probably want to look over the relevant Wikipedia guidelines, WP:BIO, first, so you'll understand why it's been nominated.
In any case, even if the article is deleted, your effort in expanding Wikipedia is still appreciated, and we still want you around. Thanks! NickelShoe (Talk) 15:07, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Disambiguation housekeeping for Martin Fox
[edit]I've done some cleanup to untangle Martin Fox the football player from Martin Fox the Elvis impersonator, as follows:
- The football player is now at Martin Fox (British football player).
- The Elvis impersonator article has been reverted to Elvis related info.
- The Martin Fox article is now a disambiguation page.
- The Martin Fox. article (the one with the dot) has been queued for deletion.
- All links to these pages have been adjusted as necessary.
Please be careful about inserting articles where the name is already in Wikipedia; see disambiguation page for instructions on how to do this. Otherwise, others must clean up the confusion. Thanks. --John Nagle 16:10, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your contributions to the Tyrone Mintus article, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! NickelShoe (Talk) 16:38, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Proposed deletion
[edit]Tyrone Mintus has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned fair use images
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Hello. I'm sorry to inform you that many of the player profiles you created were deleted because the individuals were not sufficiently notable per our notability guidelines, WP:BIO. The images you uploaded to accompany these pages are currently orphaned, meaning that they are not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If you do not have backup copies of these images, it is recommended that you save them to your own hard drive, as they will be permanently deleted from our system in seven days, unless you can give some reason that they should not be deleted (i.e.- some way that they can be used).
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 00:21, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:Garner_small.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Garner_small.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:59, 21 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT (416) 00:59, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:CoalvilleTownBadge.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:CoalvilleTownBadge.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 17:05, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:CoalvilleTownBadge.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:CoalvilleTownBadge.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions. If you have a question, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.
