A Florentine Tragedy and The Duchess of Padua

[edit]

Hello Cowboyencyc. Thank you for your interest in editing the articles on the Oscar Wilde plays A Florentine Tragedy and The Duchess of Padua. Unfortunately, the material you added by Minon Weber does not meet the threshold for encyclopedic inclusion in our policy at WP:SCHOLARSHIP. Master's theses are not considered reliable sources unless they have been widely cited in other academic publications, which Weber's work has not. When selecting scholarly sources to use on wikipedia, it's preferable to use published books or articles by notable academic publishers or journals which have a rigorous peer review process. Dissertations and theses do not necessarily go through a rigorous peer review which makes their use on wikipedia less than ideal. I hope your interest in editing the encyclopedia will not be deterred by my reversion of your edits. There is a learning curve when you first begin editing, and I hope you will take time to stick it through and make positive contributions going forward. Best wishes.4meter4 (talk) 15:11, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
