Hi and thanks for asking. There are a couple of problems: One, your username indicates you're involved with the project. That's a conflict of interest. There's also the issue of notability; in other words, does an independent project like this meet notability requirements? That's covered in WP:NOTABILITY. As for the text, not to worry. It isn't lost. If you'd like, I can e-mail the text to you. I genuinely wish you luck. That sort of project is right up my own alley. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:00, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
No problem. I'm happy to help. Yes, a new username would help. The best way to establish notability of the project, new as it is, is to cite any third-party sources. For instance, have any trade papers done a write-up? Go you one better: I'll recreate it on a user subpage. It's your own "article space" off of the main site. That will give you time to work on it without having to resubmit it. Hang on...just be a moment. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:13, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Here you go: User:Crackedintheheadfilms/The Whirling Dervish (Film). I'll paste the text there in a moment. It'll be back up when the link turns blue. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- This is your "workspace" for the article where you can add wikis, references, etc. Formatting istructions can be found here and here. You can also ask me for help regarding formatting and such. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:25, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- You can actually edit it any way you'd like. Don't worry about making mistakes since all of the edits to the page will be in the edit history. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:30, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:29, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
