- Yr Wyddfa is the OFFICIAL name of the mountain in both Welsh AND English. Note how Uluru is only known as Uluru, not Ayers Rock, in both Aboriginal languages and in English.

- Also note how the page for ‘Betws-y-coed’ is not titled ‘Prayerhouse in the Woods’ which is the English.
- The page for Llanberis is not titled ‘Holy ground of Saint Peris’ which is the English.

- Welsh place names take priority in Wales. It has always been Yr Wyddfa , before an English name was forced upon it (like many places in Wales) during one of many attempts to eradicate Welsh culture and language by the English.
- You are sanitising Welsh language and culture. The name of the mountain is Yr Wyddfa, in any language. The name ‘Snowdon’ has been removed as part of an ongoing movement to reverse the cultural damage that has been done to Welsh culture. Yr Wyddfa should be used in both Welsh and English.
- I note you failed to respond at all to my point about Uluru. Why are you okay with using that native name, but not okay with Yr Wyddfa? 85.255.235.107 (talk) 22:06, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

- Regarding Uluru and cy:Uluru, Ayres Rock was moved by wp:consensus. See the talk page archives including: Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board/Archive 12#Renaming of Uluru article and Talk:Uluru/Archive01#Page move. Make a wp:move request. If consensus is reached and policy doesn't conflict, it will be moved. Then you can edit articles and change Snowdon to Yr_Wyddfa.
- This is the English-language Wikipedia. Use the English wp:COMMONNAME. Please feel free to edit cy:Hafan and cy:Yr_Wyddfa in Welsh.
- As an example of butchering languages: cy:Unol Daleithiau America, fr:États-Unis, de:Vereinigte Staaten. If the USA can be "renamed" as such, then why not call "Yr Wyddfa" "Snowdon"? It's done in just about every language. de:Snowdon, es:Snowdon, it:Snowdon (Galles), nl:Snowdon, id:Gunung Snowdon... The Portuguese use pt:Yr Wyddfa! "Galles" is Italian for "Wales" BTW.
