Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! If you have concerns about an image...

[edit]

Please note that there are on-Wikipedia processes you can initiate if there are images you have concerns over.

  • If the image is clearly a copyright violation, you can tag the image with the {{db-filecopyvio}} template. If you have a link to show where the image is under copyright, include that as a parameter, e.g., {{db-filecopyvio|url=http://www.example.net/index.html}}.
  • If the image is not clearly infringing but you suspect it is not actually free as it claims to be, you can file a report at WP:Possibly unfree files. Instructions are at that link.
  • Alternately, you can list the image at WP:Files for deletion, though you'll need to make a good argument for removal of the image.

Again, all of these are on-Wikipedia processes, as opposed to an off-Wikipedia process such as a DCMA notice. Please use the on-Wikipedia processes to handle the requests. —C.Fred (talk) 04:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rageholic Filled With Rageahol for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. SummerPhD (talk) 03:46, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, DCMA Takedown Notice to Follow Shortly, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. TNXMan 13:02, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
