A belated welcome![edit]

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Dalian16. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Doug Weller talk 13:26, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why your edits are getting reverted[edit]

I see two basic issues. One is your sources. You really need modern secondary sources (not encyclopedias) analysing the subject. I know encyclopedias are used, but they are never as good as secondary sources for various reasons. They are often not up to date, for instance, and they almost always just give the author's point of view, while our articles are meant to do much more. Read WP:NPOV, WP:VERIFY and WP:RS. The other is the overuse of quotes. Tell us what the sources say in your own words. Attribute where apropriate. I hope this is helpful. Almost forgot, see Help:Referencing for beginners to learn to cite properly. Doug Weller talk 13:29, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conscientious objection[edit]

You added a lot of material to the Conscientious objection that was off-topic and not helpful. However, I thought the information in this edit might be useful to the Conscientious objection article or other related articles. However, I haven't been able to find a source. Where did you find this information? Daask (talk) 19:19, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Daask: Thank you Daask for your message. The information can be found at Will Religion Ever Be a Force for Peace? A “Distinctive” Group Dalian16 (talk) 00:12, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure where to put it yet, but this is the full citation:

Well done. I'll leave it to you then to decide where and how to use the citation.
