SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I just moved the WikiProject box to where it should be on the talk page and labeled the article a stub. Gimme danger 19:53, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Working Man's Barnstar

[edit]

Note that I have awarded you "The Working Man's Barnstar" on your userpage. You can move it here on your talk page if you prefer. Thanks for your hard work! Royalbroil 21:42, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Associated Banc-Corp

[edit]

Hello. During a recent edit, you marked Associated Banc-Corp with the {{cleanup}} maintenance tag. Is there something in particular (grammar, spelling, formatting, order, copyright issues, confusion, etc.) you feel the article needs in order to meet our Manual of Style standards? Thanks, --Kralizec! (talk) 06:33, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your speedy reply. Can you be a little more specific on what needs to be fixed? While I do not often write stub articles, this is the first time another editor has tagged one as not meeting WP:MOS standards. Thanks, --Kralizec! (talk) 14:15, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Kinks

[edit]

The Kinks are not primarily a hard rock group. Their early singles did indeed help to pave the way for the genre, but by the time hard rock was a driving force (late 60's/early 70's), the Kinks were engaging in melodic British pop music. The Velvet Underground helped to define what punk rock was -- they were a pre-cursor to the genre -- but they were not a punk rock group; same with the Kinks, they were a pre-cursor to hard rock & its success, but it hardly defines their career or belongs in the info box. Rock is listed in the info box, & does a much better job at defining just what type of music the Kinks played. Hard rock is a subgenre of rock, & the Kinks dabbled in various forms of rock & roll, as well as styles of folk, country, music hall, R&B, blues, traditional pop, etc. etc. etc. If hard rock is listed -- a genre they were merely pre-cursors towards -- why not list all the other genres they played? The info box is meant to give a brief, concise overview of what type of music a band plays/played -- the Kinks played a variety of different forms of rock & pop music, why does hard rock deserve to be there any more than, say, R&B, folk or blues? Rock & pop are sufficient enough to describe what type of music the Kinks played, the specifics are too numerous (& pointless) to mention, especially since they're mentioned in the article. ——Anthonylombardi 06:23, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The google search result of Gale E. Klappa is 13,300. I think this is notable enough for an article. Please reply in the article's talk page. Miaers 22:58, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that you added the cleanup tag to the article. What would you like to see cleaned up? I notice that the article is low on wikilinks, but most of the words used do not need to be wikilinked. Please respond on the talk page with the specific problem areas. Royalbroil 01:02, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good job marking the article that needed cleanup. I must have only read the good parts. Royalbroil 14:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unknown Instructors quoting Double Nickels on the Dime

[edit]

If you had looked at the article on Wikipedia for the album The Way Things Work you would have seen the same factoid - as well as the songwriting credit for the song in question. How in the hell is anyone supposed to "cite" THAT? Download the song from iTunes or eMusic if you need a citation. --CJ Marsicano 15:12, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Interpolating" means, in this context, performing the lyrics from the Double Nickels songs live over the music created by Unknown Instructors, as opposed to just sampling them off the original Minutemen recording. --CJ Marsicano 15:43, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I can do that. Sorry for the confusion. Just sick of all the anal retentive assholes on Wikipieda who think (amongst other things) I can just walk up to members of Morning Musume and take "free" pictures of them (the biggest pain I've had since starting WP:H!P...) -- --CJ Marsicano 17:28, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interstate 90 in Wisconsin

[edit]

could you elaborate as to why you think that based on WP:WI you think Interstate 90 in Wisconsin is still a stub in the assessment? It has enough information, an infobox and an exit list which makes it a good Start article. It isn't quite a B-class article yet due to missing sections and citations in my opinion. I didn't reassess the article yet. Thanks • master_sonTalk - Edits 23:34, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I guess I was confused about the distinction between start and stub class. You're correct, it's a start class. I'll change that. --Gimme danger 00:34, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Prod reasons and edit summaries

[edit]

When you prod articles, you are supposed to give an "informative edit summary". Please read the instructions! You seem to use edit summaries in most other cases. It is also useful if you give a reason that shows that you, personally, actually have put some little thought into why a particular subject is non-notable, rather than just slapping it with a boilerplate "reason" from a template.
