A tag has been placed on Daniel Sansano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Daniel Sansano, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Hatchens (talk) 07:31, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Blablubbs|talk 13:37, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Daniel Sansano[edit]

Hello Daniel Sansano,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Daniel Sansano for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

May 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm JohnFromPinckney. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of political families in the Philippines, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I hope the tutorial linked here is useful to you. The links WP:CITETYPE and WP:INCITE might help you, too. And by the way, Wikipedia pages don't ever constitute usable reliable sources; you will have to look "outside" for those. Thanks, and happy editing — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 20:43, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Daniel, it's me again. There's another possible issue, that I'd like to make sure you know about: Wikipedia's guideline on Conflict of interest (COI) editing. Since your user name is Sansano and you are trying to add information about the Sansano clan at List of political families in the Philippines, it looks as though you may have a conflict. Please have a read through the COI page, especially the part about writing about yourself, family, friends. If you think you might fall into the COI category, consider taking the steps at WP:DISCLOSE. Regards, — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 21:03, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

excuse me, I actually did put sources in furthur reading and that family is legitimetly a dynasty. I would appreciate it if you put them back thank you Daniel Sansano (talk) 00:08, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Daniel, thanks for your answer. I realize you're still kind of new here and that it's hard to learn all the ins and outs of the place. I hope I can clear a few things up.
If you are talking about the three lines
  1. http://www.pangasinan.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/242–2013.pdf
  2. https://ph.rappler.com/people/ramon-sansano
  3. Legislative districts of Pangasinan#1907–1972 3
then I'm afraid they don't serve our puposes. You originally had them under References (I hadn't seen them earlier) but then you moved them to Further reading. One problem with that is that, if they are supposed to be reference citations for some textual claims, they don't belong in Further reading (see Wikipedia:Further reading for more about that section). The second problem is that there is no connection between the individual claims (like that Hugo Sansano Sr. was a Congressman in 1913, or that Poblacion Sansano was Barangay Captain) and the sources you are using. That's one reason I didn't notice the three lines down in the References section originally. The thing to do is create inline citations; that's the WP:INCITE link I gave you earlier, to a section titled Inline citations. I recommend you (especially) read the part at WP:CITEFOOT, which explains How to place an inline citation using ref tags.
But now for the bad news. Those three links, even when they're used in the right way, don't help us any. The point is to provide Verifiability for the claims we make, but those targets don't provide that. Here's why:
  1. is no longer available. I get an HTTP 404 error. I see that https://www.pangasinan.gov.ph/ is still serving, but that PDF is no longer at that URI. What often happens is that websites (especially government websites) get reworked, and nobody thinks it important to preserve or migrate the old resources to the new site. But maybe you can snoop around there and still find that PDF file or its equivalent. But: if you do find such a PDF, we would want to know what page numbers you find what facts on (and of course, the document title, author, etc.).
  2. is active, but has only 10 words to say about Ramon, nothing very informative.
  3. is a link to a Wikipedia page, which isn't any good, because we can't be a reference for ourselves. Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source! So we can't use that link either (unless you find usable references at that page).
I'm sorry if it seems that I'm trying to obstruct you or something. I'm not! I hope you will be able to find some usable sources so we can get at least some of the Sansano info included. It takes some work, though, and I hope you will accept the guidance you get from me and other, more experienced editors.
And one last little item (for now): It looks like almost all of your edits have been marked as "minor" (that's the little, bold m you see in your contributions page). Adding significant quantities of content is not a minor edit. Minor edits are spelling corrections or formatting fixes. See Help:Minor edit for more details.
Good luck, — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 02:30, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
