Quick note

When you have time, please read User:Jytdog#Paid_editing_in_particular and keep this in mind when you make edit requests. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 18:46, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Great, thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to check it out. Danilo Two (talk) 19:06, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Request Completed

Hello, All of your requests were found to be notable and worthy of being in the article. I have added your request. Thank you. AmericanAir88 (talk) 17:32, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

Aiming at the wrong thing

About your proposal here, as I noted here you are trying to turn the WP page into a proxy for BNY's website, reflecting its current business and status only, and not an encyclopedia article with information of enduring interest.

Please do not persist in abusing your editing privileges in this fashion to advocate hijacking pages in WP to serve your clients' interests. Jytdog (talk) 00:42, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

So here you wrote These graphs were not provided by BNY Mellon, but a third party.. Please explain why that is a valid argument under the polices and guidelines and please deal specifically with WP:INDY. Jytdog (talk) 16:07, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
Your statement here misrepresents your own edit as I noted here. Jytdog (talk) 18:16, 12 July 2018 (UTC)

RfC

The RfC you posted at Bank of New York Mellon is not neutral by a very, very long way. Please take it down. Jytdog (talk) 19:33, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Jytdog: I cut the RfC down to the question and a note regarding what the data is about, since editors might not see that from looking only at the graphs. Danilo Two (talk) 19:45, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
Not correct. I am done. See below. Jytdog (talk) 19:49, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Recommendations

A tip and a recommendation. You don't need to put quotes around the ref names to combine them when the ref name is one word - it's only if the ref name has a space i.e. <ref name="web site"/> versus <ref name=website/> Also, more importantly, per [[1]], I think it would behoove you and your team to contribute to the encyclopedia in non-commercial ways, to generate some goodwill. For example, the Signpost needs help. [[2]] TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 22:18, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

@Timtempleton: Thanks for the tip on ref names! To your other point: We've always felt it best to keep these accounts strictly for our commercial work, so there is absolutely no confusion. But your suggestion is interesting. I will discuss it with the rest of my team to see if there are ways we can contribute without blurring the lines of our work. If you have other suggestions as well, particularly any help we can provide that does not involve editing article space, I am interested to consider it. Any specific backlogs in mind? Thanks again! As long as you disclose your COI edits, there should be no non-COI related edits you can't do. The Signpost is an easy one, as is participation in the Copy Editing Guild. Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors. I work with the latter, as well as helping with the oldest Wikipedia:Articles for deletion nominations. I think it's only fair that you give back an equal amount of time that you ask of the volunteers helping you. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 17:30, 5 October 2018 (UTC)
