[edit]Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Sasha Colby, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 00:28, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hello! I am sorry, I did not think I needed to give a citation because I removed something without replacing it. I apologize sincerely! Darlingscholar (talk) 20:46, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- Trans is mentioned in a number of times in the article that you did not remove. If she identifies as identifies as non-binary, not as a transwoman, please add it to the article and cite a source. wp:citing sources. Just stating how she identifies in the wp:ES does not support its removal. Adakiko (talk) 20:25, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- I am sorry but there is a misunderstanding. Sasha Colby is a trans woman. There was a sentence about Jinkx Monsoon in comparison with Sasha Colby as the winner of season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race but Jinkx Monsoon identifies as nonbinary, not trans. The sentence said that Jinxk identifies as a trans woman. I just removed the part that was not true. It is important to insure that the proper identity of a person is identified to be respectful towards them and towards the community. I was fixing the mislabeling of Jinkx Monsoon, not Sasha Colby.
- Here are some sources for Jinkx's gender identity:

- The sentence is
She is the fourth consecutive transgender person to win a Drag Race US season
. Nothing I see states that Jinkx' gender identity is trans woman. - This discussion should be on talk:Sasha Colby. See help:talk pages. Adakiko (talk) 01:39, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- Jinkx won 2 seasons before she did, so that would not make Sasha Colby the the 4 consecutive transwoman to win a US season of drag race. Nonbinary doesn’t necessarily fall under the transgender umbrella. I recall there being a sentence, link, or blurb listing who the three trans predecessor winners were, and Jinkx was on it. You messaged me first, so I don’t know how to move this to the talk page. If it’s really bothering you this much, you can change it back but “She is the fourth consecutive transgender person to win a Drag Race US season” is not true. This statement would not be true if they were counting regular seasons only or including all stars seasons. Darlingscholar (talk) 01:48, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm tired. wp:EUI... I wasn't following. If Jinkx is not trans, that would make Colby the third winner? You could remove Jinkx and reword it as such. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 02:21, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don’t think that would be correct still, so let me know what you think based on the information I give below. Drag race in the US has two seasons each year, an all stars season and a regular season. Here are the winners of four most recent winners in order:
- all stars season 6 winner: Kylie Sonique Love, trans woman
- regular season 14 winner: Willow Pill, trans-femme
- all stars season 7 winner: Jinkx Monsoon, non-binary
- regular season 15 winner: Sasha Colby, trans woman Darlingscholar (talk) 02:34, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, lost the tread. Suggest asking at the wp:Teahouse. This is beyond my expertise. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 22:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
