Template:If pagename multi → Template:When on page – Per here --Relisted. Dekimasuよ! 01:50, 11 November 2014 (UTC) Sardanaphalus (talk) 16:53, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
- This discussion appears to have been invisible for over a month because it was listed below a redirect. However, an associated move request is taking place at Template talk:If pagename. Dekimasuよ! 01:25, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- I am less sure about carrying out this one without any outside discussion. The new title seems too similar to the new {{When pagename is}} to me. How about just "When pagename is multi" or "When pagename is (multi)"? Dekimasuよ! 18:47, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
- I see the concern, although there is the distinction between "pagename" and "page" and I imagine someone finding themselves trying this template would soon pick up or be reminded of it. How about I ask a few editors to pass by and comment and/or post the same at the Village Pump technical area? (And/or somewhere else?) Thanks for moving this along, Sardanaphalus (talk) 20:33, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- That seems like it would be helpful, thanks. Dekimasuよ! 16:55, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- Any progress? Dekimasuよ! 06:49, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- Disappointingly, it appears not – although, other than a message at the Village Pump's miscellaneous and technical areas, I confess I have only managed to mention it to a couple of editors thus far. I've made Template:When on page a redirect for the time being. Regards, Sardanaphalus (talk) 00:34, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

- @SMcCandlish: Strong feelings? Possibility of confusion? Dekimasuよ! 01:29, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support changing "if" to "when", and lean toward {{When pagename is multi}}, {{When pagename is - multi}}, {{Multi when pagename is}}, or whatever, for consistency with the meta-template at {{When pagename is}}. Even {{When on page}} would be better than present name, for reasons I outlined earlier. Thanks for the ping; I would have missed this otherwise. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼ 06:51, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your input. It seems to me that trying to keep the "multi" leads to unwieldy names, so I'd stick with When on page. Sardanaphalus (talk) 20:34, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
