Moving your test page to 'Continental Charters Flight 44-2'

[edit]

can you move your test page to Continental Charters Flight 44-2? there are folks who go around removing redlinks in templates, so if you were to move your test page, it would fix this problem. thank you for your work on the article. Frietjes (talk) 16:18, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your kind note. I have moved the article as you suggested and will try to finish the remaining sections soon. All the best, Dhpage (talk) 20:23, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you added piped links to Gilbert Espinosa Chávez in some articles. This was not necessary. Since the article was already linked, the red link would have turned blue as soon as you created the new article. Creating a piped link with the article of the same name is unnecessary and potentially confusing to subsequent editors. I have reverted your changes. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. North American Railcar Operators Association

[edit]

I added the Colorado information so that the article would not be flagged as unreferenced. I came across the references as I was working on an article about the railroad that histed the excursion. You might consider adding some of these references to the article so that notability can be more firmly established: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22North+American+Railcar+Operators+Association%22&btnG=Search+Books&tbm=bks&tbo=1 Eastmain (talkcontribs) 02:42, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of Bishop Brennan

[edit]

Joseph Vincent Brennan's motto is described as "Jesus I trust in you" at the Archdiocesan web page. I am not sure where the Latin one came from, but it does not appear to be associated with Brennan. Elizium23 (talk) 03:40, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I have corrected it. Dhpage (talk) 04:49, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Elizium23, why did you revert my correction? Dhpage (talk) 18:46, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You keep changing it to "The love of Christ compels us" and that is not correct. Elizium23 (talk) 23:31, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I see what happened. The Archdiocese page mislinked to O'Connell's description page from Brennan's. I was reading O'Connell's information and didn't even notice the name was different. By the way, you misspelled "Caritas". Elizium23 (talk) 01:21, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of M55E1

[edit]

The article M55E1 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I couldn't find any evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Banach, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Polish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi Dhpage - I'd like to let you know a few standards on Wikipedia. First off, you're correct that technically non-NRHP sites shouldn't use {{Infobox NRHP}} (even though it's not hurting anything for them to). However, please change these types of articles to use {{Infobox historic site}}, more applicable than the generic {{Infobox building}}.

Also - for templates like {{Taliesen sites}}, they should be placed in articles after the external links and before the categories. How you have them placed now is incorrect. Thanks and best, ɱ (talk) 19:34, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Airline slogans

[edit]

I don't understand why you are moving slogans from the infobox to the prose. They were removed from the infobox because they are unencyclopedic marketing jargon. Unless there is some non-trivial coverage of the slogans, they don't belong anywhere in the article IMO. MB 18:43, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MB: Thank you for the clarification and the background. I thought it was necessary to do so to preserve them. I will simply delete them now. I am trying to clear the category. Dhpage (talk) 18:46, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also note that is is not important to "clear" the category. Making an edit to remove a field from the infobox that has no affect on the page can be considered "comestic" and unnecessary. I usually try to find other edits to make at the same time. MB 18:56, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MB: Understood. Thanks. Dhpage (talk) 18:58, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware of Wikipedia's Manual of Style for hyphens, which says "Avoid using a hyphen after a standard -ly adverb (a newly available home, a wholly owned subsidiary) ...". Chris the speller yack 14:49, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Island House, Laugharne - Infobox edit

[edit]

Thank you for your recent edits. Is it also possible to reduce the size of the infobox by removing the duplication of coordinates? Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 20:40, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Horatius At The Bridge: Done. Dhpage (talk) 20:44, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
but not the map :) Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 20:46, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Horatius At The Bridge: Sorry, don't see a map; don't understand what you are asking for but will be happy to help. Dhpage (talk) 20:52, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The map was there before you removed the duplicated coordinates, I'd like to keep the map even at the cost of duplication :) Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 20:57, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
[User:Horatius At The Bridge|Horatius At The Bridge]]: OK, understood, the map has returned and only one set of coordinates is now showing. "England and America: two nations divided by a common language." Dhpage (talk) 21:03, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for trying to assist friend, the duplication is no more but sadly the wrong set of coordinates remains and the infobox remains unreduced in size . Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 21:07, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Horatius At The Bridge: send the correct coordinates and we can fix them. 21:16, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The coordinates currently inside the infobox are correct I believe - as were the earlier ones duplicated at the top of the page Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 21:21, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Horatius At The Bridge: Check it now. Dhpage (talk) 22:23, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's the same as it was at 21:21 unless I'm missing something? (Which was the same as it started out at 20:40 but without the coordinates at the top right of the page outside the infobox - which I hoped could be retained and the ones inside the infobox removed to reduce its size.) Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 22:45, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Horatius At The Bridge: The coordinates look to be correct on Goggle maps, ie, a house to the left of the castle when you face it. The map also looks to be correct for those coordinates. I put the coordinates back on the top but if we remove the ones in the box, the map goes away. Do you have any way to go there and verify the coordinates with a GPS or mobile? Dhpage (talk) 05:03, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think we may be at cross purposes, the coordinates are fine, I just hoped the set at the top would be enough and the infobox reduced in size (i.e. less intrusive on the text below) by removing the duplicates inside the infobox below the map but it looks as though if you have that map you get the general info line and the cordinates below it by default. We tried anyway -;) Horatius At The Bridge (talk) 07:41, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete the article

[edit]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manjappada_KBFC_Supporters_Club Please delete this article.Currently it is salted and is having a discussion at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2020_September_25&markasread=200645887&markasreadwiki=enwiki# Some inexperienced users are still creating problems Shahoodu (talk) 16:20, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article has a structure in my sandbox and I am currently waiting for the admins to uplift the salting to draftspace. This may cause more problems Shahoodu (talk) 16:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shahoodu, the article is marked for speedy deletion. Thanks, Dhpage (talk) 19:51, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article (Pious Association (Catholic canon law)) covers the exact same topic as Association of the Christian faithful. To quote the latter: "Under the 1917 Code of Canon Law, groups of laity that gathered with a common purpose and apostolate were called piae uniones ("pious unions").[5] With the replacement of the former code by the 1983 Code of Canon Law, they were referred to as associations of the faithful." So, if you agree with my conclusion, I think it would be best to delete the article you created and to leave a redirect to Association of the Christian faithful. Veverve (talk) 07:30, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Veverve, thank you for pointing this out. I have no objection to combining the articles and creating a redirect. Please go ahead. Thanks, Dhpage. 18:19, 15 January 2021 (UTC) Dhpage (talk) 19:04, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Is Pious Association (Catholic canon law) not the same as Association of the Christian faithful under its former name? Veverve (talk) 21:28, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
