ESC Maps

Hey there, I've figured out how to use Inkscape to recolour countries for the Eurovision maps, but I don't know how to 'cut out' regions (eg. like Wales was on the Eurovision Choir of the Year 2017 page). How would this be done please? I hope you are able to help me with this.

@ThatJosh: Sorry, I hadn't seen your message. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on cutting countries, but if you want a specific region try to find a map in which the region is already being cut. (It wasn't me that created the map of the ECY). Regards –Dimsar01 ^Talk ⌚→ 17:09, 10 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). ESC 2019 content removal

I was unable to tell what I had done wrong on the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 page that was considered to not be constructive. I had left a comment on someone's edit about the capacity of the Tel Aviv Convention Center, Pavilion 2; the source they had cited was a claim, not something that had been established by the EBU or the IPBC. "Svet (World)"

I wanted to know, given that the song of Serbia is officially called "Svet (World)", which can also be seen by visiting the official video of the song on the official YT page of the JESC, why you have deleted my change just because wiki is not a "translator" even if the title of the song is a translation in its own right?

Claims

@SGriffin94: Ohh. You copy pasted the signature all this time and wrote down the time by yourself? So, I’ll write down the steps to create your signature, the way I do.

1. Create a subpage in your user page like this: User:SGriffin94/Signature
2. Write in wiki markup the signature you want which must include a link to your user page and a link to your talk page. Do not include any dates (look my page for example)
3. Go to your preferences in the top-right part of your screen
4. In the signature text field write {{SUBST:User:SGriffin94/Signature}}
5. Check the “Treat the above as wiki markup” checkbox if it’s not checked already
6. Click Save

Now, at the end of your messages, type ~~~~ and your signature will be added automatically.

Okay? That doesn't change the fact that Wikipedia has conventions you have to respect, and the guidelines don't mention any exceptions for this case. Please note Sweetener (album) as well: despite all the songs being lower case, the track list reports them with correct capitalization as per en.wiki guidelines. @Merynancy: As we always did we write the song titles the way they're written and mentioned in the equivalent source. If you want open a discussion at the article's talk page. I have to laugh. Please respect the guidelines the community has decided and don't try to twist them. Have you even read the link I have provided to you? Please do so before reverting again: Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(music)#Capitalization. As you can see, no exception for this case is observed. Because consolidated guidelines > your personal opinion. Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Titles#Capital_letters is clear about it, and the concept is furtherly reinforced in Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(music)#Capitalization. Where have you decided it? Can I see the discussion? Because that's clearly against the consolidated en.wiki rules explained in Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Titles#Capital_letters & Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(music)#Capitalization.
