Requested username:

Request reason:

New to Wiki and did not realise previous name violated etiquette

Accept reason:

Since the username has already been changed and you have undertaken not to write about the ITM on Wikipedia, I see no reason not to lift this block. Happy editing! Yunshui  15:23, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but you weren't blocked just for your username. You were blocked because the draft article you created was clearly just for the purpose of promoting your company, and we don't allow promotional material here. Our purpose here is to create an encyclopedia that documents things that are already notable (that is, they don't need to be promoted, because they are already important). Do you intend to contribute to that purpose, if unblocked? It might help if you provided some information as to what you have an interest in editing, so that we can see you have a reason to edit aside from inserting promotional material. ♠PMC(talk) 14:17, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(Hope I'm responding in the correct way) Apologies PMC, I was trying to be as impartial as possible as I can completely understand the role Wikipedia plays. That's why I took the template from already existing articles as a guideline for my first. To ensure that I do not violate the terms again, I will not attempt to recreate the article in the future, but rather contribute where I can to already existing articles. My particular areas of interest are around local UK history.

I have renamed the account per your request, but will leave the unblock review to PMC or another admin. —DoRD (talk) 14:51, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
