Information icon Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Broward County, Florida have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Donald Albury 01:14, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have introduced a spurious space in "Miami-Dade" in several articles. The extra space is incorrect. It has now been reverted in each case. In some cases, you have added the spurious space after I posted the above warning on this page on March 23. Continuing to make incorrect edits after you have been warned about them is a problem, and may lead to restrictions on your editing. I also see that you reverted to the incorrect form several times after your initial edit was reverted by other editors. Please be aware that re-reverting, as you have done, is regarded as edit warring. Persistent edit warring may also result in restrictions on your editing. Please read Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle for a widely respected recommendation on how to respond when you are reverted. - Donald Albury 15:42, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Florida's 27th congressional district. Stop adding improper spaces. Donald Albury 01:49, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you continuing to add spaces? The proper name is Miami-Dade County, not Miami -Dade or Miami- Dade. Curbon7 (talk) 19:32, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t like it when the computer- generated voice on my PC, which sounds human-like, doesn’t pronounce Miami-Dade like the rest of us do. The way the computer voice on my PC pronounces Miami-Dade is as follows (phonetically speaking): Miama-Dade. If I add the extra space between the hyphen and the word “Dade”, then it pronounces Miami-Dade correctly.
-I hope this clarifies any confusion you had. Let me know what you think.
-Sincerely,

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
