Wikilinking[edit]

Howdy.... just a note to ask you to please double-check when you add a wikilink to an article to make sure you're not pointing to a disambiguation page. For example: you wanted Spellbound, but you linked to Spellbound... You wanted Wild Cherry but you linked Wild Cherry. May want to use the "show preview" option before saving your edits to follow your links first. Thanks. - eo 17:01, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reformatting FPKK. It looks much better now. Cheers, Doctormatt 22:17, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your question regarding Robert Palmer[edit]

Hi Doozy,

first of all let me welcome you to Wikipedia. :) I hope you like it here.

There is no need to remove the reference you added. In fact, it's perfectly fine. My bot only removed the category from the article (or, rather, the article from the category) because it was decided that there was no need to categorize blue-eyed soul singers by nationality. Since recategorizing articles is rather repetitive and often involves hundreds, if not thousands of articles, I typically use my bot for category-related maintenance tasks.

If you have any further questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always happy to help. Cheers S up? 21:03, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I know what you mean. Don't worry too much about making mistakes though - we all do, even regulars and experienced users, and usually, stuff is easily fixable. :) Oh, and if you ever need assistance with anything, my offer is open-ended. :) S up? 21:20, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Doozy,

I've just now had a chance to take a brief look at the article's history and I agree that the POV content is inappropriate. I'll have a talk with the user and I'll also keep an eye on the article. If that doesn't help, I'll issue the appropriate warnings but hopefully it won't come to that. Thank you, by the way, for showing restraint and not engaging in an edit war. Many editors wouldn't have shown a cool head like you have and I have to say you're doing a very good job. :) S up? 19:47, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
