Am I allowed to use the Lehigh Valley Railroad logo for Lehigh Line (Norfolk Southern) or no? Granthew (talk) 00:14, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Logos are fair use and should only be used where needed to describe the company. Therefore the logo should only be used in the Lehigh Valley Railroad article. See WP:NOTFREE for more details. Dough4872 00:27, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Who do I ask permission to use the Lehigh Valley Railroad logo?Granthew (talk) 01:10, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Logos are to only be used in the article of the company they represent as it qualifies as fair use to identify the organization. Using the image elsewhere might be copyright infringement. Using the railroad logo in the article about the railroad line is not fair use and purely decoration, so it cannot be used in that article. Dough4872 03:39, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited U.S. Route 1 in Pennsylvania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Trenton Line. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I got rid of the (foolish) redirect to Centennial District (Philadelphia), and wrote my own article, before discovering that you had done much of the groundwork years ago. I've incorporated some of that into the article. Thank you in particular for creating the infobox. I would not have been able to do it nearly as well. One of our first tasks is to write the job description of the executive director position, and we are asking for input from the Wikimedia community. Please take a few minutes and complete this survey to help us better understand community and staff expectations for the Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director.

Florida State Road 292[edit]

Back in early April 2016, you tagged Florida State Road 292 as being written in the wrong direction. You probably saw that I rewrote it in the proper direction. Granted, it took a little research but I was able to manage it. I'd just like your opinion on my work.-------User:DanTD (talk) 22:10, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I would highly suggest that you add references to the route description. You can use an official highway map along with a web mapping source such as Google Maps to source the route description. Also I would suggest you abbreviate the various state roads you mention in the route description as "SR X" as you already defined that abbreviation in the lead. Short MD state highways[edit]

I'm trying to make the pages more navigable. Right now, full pages have the link to "previous" and "next" in the infobox but the "list" pages don't. This makes having the "previous" and "next" route in any page useless (since you can't move continuously up and down the list). I don't see why including it is a problem. Famartin (talk) 10:53, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:USRD/RCS, we are to use {{infobox road small}} for these types of lists. If you would like to start a discussion about this issue, please take it to WT:USRD. Dough4872 13:27, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Famartin and Dough4872: there is the option of inserting {{md browse}} at the bottom of the individual sections, which is what WP:USRD/RCS calls for (and if it doesn't, it should). Imzadi 1979  17:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Imzadi1979: Could you be more specific (i.e. show an example) of it? That way I don't screw it up ;) Thanks! Famartin (talk) 18:24, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Famartin: List of New Mexico State Roads shorter than one mile has the browsers in each section. Imzadi 1979  21:56, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
