Doug Schuler[edit]

For anyone who may need verification of the identity of Doug Schuler, please feel free to contact me. I've collaborated with him on and off over the years, mainly in Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility, but also in the Seattle Community Network. He's on the faculty of The Evergreen State College, and tells me that he is likely to be contributing mainly material that he has already published elsewhere. He has been writing about community networks, community intelligence, etc. at least since the mid-1990s. He's the author of New Community Networks: Wired for Change (ACM/Addison-Wesley, New York, 1996). The main reason I'm leaving this note is that his contributions are likely to be copyrighted materials that he has already published elsewhere, but will not be copyright violations, because he is the copyright holder.

If anyone needs to verify his identity more definitively, you can write to one of his published email addresses and he can respond to confirm that this account is his. - Jmabel | Talk (wiki-admin) 17:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SIGCAS moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, SIGCAS, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 01:33, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
