There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

I failed to read the posting guidelines. Now that I understand it, I won't repeat it. I would like to be unblocked so I can address the advertising aspects of the posting. My apologies.

Given that your posting's entire point was to mention and link to the software you represent, which amounts to promoting it, you'll have to either agree not to edit Wikipedia in ways relating to HRD Software, widely construed, or explain how exactly you would "address the advertising aspects" if you were unblocked. On an unrelated note, please take a look at WP:PAID; you currently cannot edit your user page, but when you are unblocked you will need to comply with the disclosure requirements. HRD Software is to Ham Radio Deluxe as Microsoft is to Word for Windows. The purpose of this article is to tell the story about Ham Radio Deluxe, not of HRD Software. People may not know HRD Software. But they ham radio operators do know Ham Radio Deluxe. They are interested in the history, what it does, and who has been involved. I will take out all the links related to promoting the product - such as the link to the website. That said, even Microsoft's entry on Wikipedia has the link for Microsoft in the references ("Official Website"). But I'll remove all such references from the article... reduce it to "Official Website"... and otherwise stay with the same format used for Microsoft... how it started... the brief history, what the software is... what it does... who uses it. The "who", "what", "when", "where" and "how"... without any marketing or sales references.

I would like the opportunity to fix the problems with my entry, but I'm blocked from doing so. At that point, I believe it will be re-evaluated and we can see that the problems that caused this to be blocked have been resolved. What's next in the process?

What are my next steps in getting unblocked? I have explained how I will address the advertising aspects of the posting. My intention is to "inform", not to promote.

Decline reason:

There is no difference between promoting a company and promoting its products. You will not be unblocked if your main purpose is to make COI edits (wp:COI: COI editing is strongly discouraged.) You wrongly assume that only posting links is promotion. "Tell[ing] the story about Ham Radio Deluxe", as you say, is the very definition of promotion. My objective is to remove any COI references and make it informational only. I'll take the links out, if that's what's best. I do not want it to be an advertisement. I seek only to correct it so that it is merely informational. I'm puzzled by the process here. I'm saying that I will correct it... but I'm blocked from doing so. What are my next steps to removing all the COI references?

This unblock request has remained open for a while. The problem is, you have not convinced us you understand WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. So, rather than leaving this unblock request open indefinitely, I am declining it. I strongly suggest the only way you'll get unblocked is if you agree to refrain from editing any article for which you have a conflict of interest. That specifically means refraining from writing about ham radio. You would still be allowed to suggest edits on the article's talk page, after disclosing your conflict of interest. One unblock request at a time, please. The problem is, every admin who has reviewed your request has found it insufficiently convincing.
