Disambiguation link notification for June 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Helen Glover. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:56, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. I've corrected the error. Drams707 (talk) 06:22, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

GBR or GBR2 templates
[edit]I don't see why 2021 London Marathon needs to use Template:GBR2 instead of Template:GBR for the British competitors. Every single other marathon article- including multiple good articles such as the 2019 and 2020 London Marathons use the GBR template. Your edits just make the 2021 article inconsistent with everything else. If it does need changing, then it needs changing for all articles, and would need to be first discussed at an appropriate centralised venue such as WT:SPORTS. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:05, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
I changed it because the international athletics authorities recognise British athletes as competing for Great Britain & Northern Ireland not the United Kingdom, albeit that they are the same thing. It seems incongruous to use the UK for marathons when for every other athletics event - including marathons at major championships - Great Britain is used. There doesn't seem a logical reason for making sn exception to this. Drams707 (talk) 12:07, 3 October 2021 (UTC)

[edit]"British Triathlon have emailed me"
[edit]Even if British Triathlon have emailed you about medallists in parasports events [1], that isn't a verifiable source, as no other person can verify it to be true. If it's important information, British Triathlon should post it on their website and then we can use their website as a source. But you claiming it to be true isn't a reliable source for Wikipedia. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:34, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
I appreciate that but we already know that pilots (cycling) and directors (lawn bowls) get medals at the CWG as evidenced by previous Games. It was pretty inconceivable that this wouldn't also apply to paratriathlon guides, especially as they receive medals at the Paralympics. I emailed British Triathlon purely for belt and braces purposes for my own satisfaction as I was concerned at the inconsistent way in which these individuals were being treated on different country pages on Wiki. [edit]Hello, I'm Fieryninja. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tom Sturridge, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
2023 Woking Borough Council election moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2023 Woking Borough Council election, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe, and currently has maybe 1. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:31, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
Green Party of England and Wales 2023 colour
[edit]I have seen from your contributions list that you have been creating and editing pages related to the 2023 United Kingdom local elections. Many thanks for your work on this subject. I just wanted to write you a quick note regarding the colouring of the Green Party of England and Wales. Since the beginning of 2023, the GPEW has changed it official colour. The new colour is only displayed under Green Party of England and Wales (2023) - using the old name without the (2023) appended to it will display the pre-2023 colouring. Please bear this in mind when filling out any election boxes in the future. Again, thank you for your contributions - keep up the good work! C.david.ham (talk) 17:55, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

- Thanks but I'm going to abandon all my articles that you've removed. There seems to be abolutely no consistency to the way in which articles are treated. Articles with far less information than mine are left linked to the 2023 UK local government election webpage and indeed those from earlier years and frankly it's totally demoralising. I may as well leave to those who seem to get a free pass to complete the UK local government project that has been going on now for well over a decade. I don't want to see it undermined by my apparently negative involvement. Thanks again. Drams707 (talk) 12:35, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
