If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Projapoti, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. XXX antiuser eh? 08:41, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. Projapoti[edit]

This article was deleted after a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Projapoti, so if you simply re-create it, it will be speedily deleted. If you think that discussion was wrongly decided, or you have new information, you should first approach user Stifle (talk), the administrator who closed the discussion. Then, if you are not satisfied, you can go to WP:Deletion review. JohnCD (talk) 19:06, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Projapoti[edit]

There is a You Tube clip showing the Projapoti being bowled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMyAkM5M-J4 here it is referred to by Ian Pont, one of the creators, as Projapoti "Butterfly". It seems that Projapoti means "Butterfly" in English, as Doosra means 'the other one'. The name of Projapoti was given I have read to reflect the Bangladesh heritage of the delivery and the fact it was created for the Bengali speaking fast bowlers who call it the Projapoti. In the same way Cul-de-Sac is used in language in English, you would not say "bottom of the bag" (literal translation) when referring to a road that has no way out. Projapoti therefore is a genuine title for this creation, which has been given a Butterfly 'handle' so the English media can understand what it is meant to look like in flight. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecbsux (talkcontribs) 08:29, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can I please ask why you're telling me this? Stifle (talk) 09:27, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, found it. Projapoti was deleted after a consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Projapoti. I did not decide to delete it; the community did. You can open a deletion review as previously advised, but only if you can establish that deletion process was not followed or you have new information which wasn't previously available. Stifle (talk) 09:45, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Catherine Dalton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:37, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2014[edit]

If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —John Cline (talk) 08:04, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
