Gdansk vote notice

[edit]

"For Gdansk and other locations that share a history between Germany and Poland, the first reference of one name in an article should also include a reference to other names e.g. Danzig (now Gdańsk, Poland) or Gdańsk (Danzig)." Please respect WP:CONSENSUS. Thanks. HerkusMonte (talk) 07:15, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

-The name isnt used anymore and hasnt had a German history in 70 years. That vote is a joke and has no historical or any rights to be using Danzig or any German name in Poland. Thanks. Edditor1 (talk) 15:06, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As already explained above we have an established policy regarding the names of settlements and places sharing a history between Germany and Poland, the Gdansk vote is pretty unambiguous. Please note that "Persistent reverts against community consensus despite multiple warnings may be dealt with according to the rules in Wikipedia:Dealing with vandalism."
Also note that your edit summaries ("restored original name") are misleading as you obviously didn't "restore" anything but deleted information. Please respect WP:CONSENSUS and do not continue editwarring. Your edits are especially striking as your only productive input so far seems to be the addition of Polish names to Lithuanian and Belorussian places. HerkusMonte (talk) 16:16, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There should be a revote or another discussion on the "Gdansk vote". I can remind you as well of the "Persistent reverts against community consensus despite multiple warnings may be dealt with according to the rules in Wikipedia:Dealing with vandalism." when you specifically look for small Polish towns and regions and add German names to them unnecessarily. Your editwarring is unwarranted and disruptive so you may refrain from repeating your needless edits to these articles and Polish names. Edditor1 (talk) 02:58, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is you who is "unwarranted and disruptive"! German names are historical names, whether you like it or not. Stop crying and do something useful like putting together another vote, fajtłapo. Darth Jor-El (talk) 05:57, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Istria may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • '''Istria''' ({{IPAc-en|ˈ|ɪ|s|t|r|i|ə}}; [[Croatian language|Croatian]], [[Slovene language|Slovene]]: ''Istra'';
