A tag has been placed on Parallex Media, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello EdwardDonnovan. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EdwardDonnovan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EdwardDonnovan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:09, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Praxidicae Thank you for your response and providing clarification on Wikipedia terms of use. To clarify the situation on this article, I am not being compensated directly or indirectly finacially or any other way from posting / editing this article. Please let me know if there is any other steps or information I should provide. EdwardDonnovan (talk) 15:19, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So, you're writing about your client to get their name out there but have no affiliation and aren't being compensated in anyway? Boy are you on the wrong career path. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:21, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A direct quote from the article's talk page, for posterity: As I have just created this page, which is for a client of mine who runs a local Buisness in Toronto, Canada - Who is trying to put out information about their company in an effort to help consumers understand who the company is. The business has requested a wikipedia page as it has a notable fanbase in it's area of operation, Toronto, and would like to ensure users looking for their company information online will not be mislead to view Parallax Media instead, a competitor who attempted to mimic Parallex Media, my client. @Praxidicae I used the term "Client" to describe the business I'm writting about. A friend of mine runs this business and asked for help getting a Wikipedia page published. is there a problem with that? I'm not eing compensated and do not wish to be.
You're a moderator, you shouldn't be rude and condescending. is being a Wikipedia moderator your career path? says alot about you. EdwardDonnovan (talk) 15:25, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's a problem with your editing as a whole. Wikipedia is not a stepping stone for a business. We do not care what they want. This is an encyclopedia, not a business directory. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:26, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Praxidicae Definition of Client; A person who engages in professional advice and or service.
it's a broad term, as mentioned previously.
Wikipedia is a public forum for posting relevant public information, that includes about businesses, CEO's, Foundations, Charities, Etc.
Why are you insisting on creating an issue here? you have not given an explanation as to what's wrong, you assumed I was being compensated. However that's not the case, mow you're claiming that Wikipedia does not allow for public business information as its not an encyclopedia.
Is there any direct compensation that you are in recipient of from my clients competitors that would have you acting like this? As it seems like you're trying to do all you can to ensure this businesses public information is not on Wikipedia.... EdwardDonnovan (talk) 15:31, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I really do not care at this point, they aren't notable and there won't be an article. Find something else to edit about. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a business listing service for everything that ever existed. If you are unable to understand this, I don't know what to tell you. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:33, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Praxidicae No problem, good to see how you're acting. I'm sure the dispute process will clear this up. Cheers EdwardDonnovan (talk) 15:36, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
First, stop pinging me. I have a watchlist for a reason. Second, feel free to file a report at ANI or DRN, where your report will likely be summarily closed due to your failure to understand the purpose of Wikipedia, but by all means, be my guest. PRAXIDICAE🌈 15:37, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you please stop attempting to harass, intermediate and bully me, I've filed a dispute on this article for your false flag without any reasoning. You failed to provide valid reason for deletion. Your role as a moderator is to bring clarity and progressive steps forward to Wikipedia users, not to bully them off of the platform. EdwardDonnovan (talk) 15:41, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
